History

Established in 1992, the Raytown Educational Foundation is an independent  501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing grants, scholarships, programs and recognition to students and staff in Raytown Quality Schools.  The foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of patrons, educators, parents, business and community leaders.  The Board of Trustees volunteer their time, talents and resources to serve Raytown Quality Schools.

Mission

The Raytown Educational Foundation’s mission is to support unique programs that enhance the tradition of excellence in Raytown Quality Schools.

Vision

Raytown Quality Schools’ students will have opportunities and experiences that prepare them to be contributing members of the community.

Goals 2017-2018

  •  Increase revenue and decrease withdrawal from REF Operating Endowment to fund programs and operating expenses.
  • Maintain an engaging presence within the Raytown Quality Schools community and the community at-large.

Goals 2013-2014

Website – To maintain and update information and photos on a new website and to create a foundation presence on social media sites such as Facebook.

Annual Donations – To create an annual donation campaign including businesses, alumni and employees, increasing both the number of donors as well as the overall contribution total.

Programs – To create an implement a data gathering and review process for all foundation programs.

Run for Excellence – To increase run participants, sponsors and net profit.

Alumni – To build relationships with alumni, serve as a clearing house for alumni reunion announcements and to host an alumni event.
