Program Grants

Student Incentive & Recognition Grants – Each elementary, middle and high school receives a grant to provide student incentives and recognition.  At the elementary and middle school levels the foundation’s student incentive and recognition program is partnered with the district’s Positive Behavior Support (PBS) initiative.  At the high school level the program includes not only PBS criteria, but an academic component as well.

Cash for Classroom Run for Excellence Grants – Grants are awarded to each group of ten or more run entries from a school or district department.  The group receives half of the total amount of entry fees generated by the group.  The grants may be used to purchase goods, services or materials for students or staff.  The total amount of Cash for Classroom Grants awarded to school groups for the 2015 Run for Excellence was $2472

Major Saver Building Grants – Each building that participates in the Major Saver card fundraiser is awarded a grant for half of the total amount of funds generated.  The total amount of Major Saver Building Grants awarded for 2015-2016 was $11,614.

Employee Payroll Donation Recognition Grants – Each month during the school year, a name is drawn from a list of those employees who donate monthly to the foundation through payroll deduction.  Each grant is $100 and can be used to purchase goods or services, equipment or supplies for the staff member’s classroom, school or department.
