The 5K Historic Trail Run for Excellence5K Run/Walk | |||||
Run For Excellence is an annual 5K walk/run benefit and serves as one of the foundation's most successful fundraisers. Each participant in the race receives a t-shirt and a goody bag from area businesses. The mostly level course begins and ends at Raytown High School. Please note that because of anticipated construction on the 63rd Street Bridge, the run will follow a new route. Our certified course begins beside the north parking lot of Raytown High School. After leaving the high school, runners will head north on Blue Ridge Boulevard and then hang a quick left onto 53rd Street. The course will then turn south onto Blue Ridge Trafficway until 63rd Street, where runners will head west for a loop on Elm and Blue Ridge. From there it's retracing your steps back to Raytown High School right into Chittwood Stadium and a hero's welcome! Click here for a map of the course. Do you have other plans on October 17?
